The Iowa Truck Driving Championships (TDC) is an annual event that showcases the “Best of the Best” in Iowa’s trucking industry. This annual, family friendly event was first started in 1946 and has continued to be a rich tradition within Iowa’s trucking industry. Now more than ever, it is important to give these drivers a chance to showcase their skills and give us a chance to show our gratitude for their dedication to their jobs.

Participating drivers must have a 12 month accident free record and 12 consecutive months with their current employer. Additionally, they are to be nominated by their companies based on several criteria including their attitude and commitment to safety and professionalism.

PRAIRIE MEADOWS HOTEL BOOKING PROCESS UPDATE

To ensure a fair and efficient hotel booking process, hotel room block details for Prairie Meadows will only be provided once we receive your online registration. This new policy was agreed upon by Prairie Meadows and the Iowa Motor Truck Association to better accommodate as many companies and individuals as possible. After IMTA receives the online registration notification you will be provided information on how to book the one room for the individual you are registering (driver, company rep, etc.). You will NOT be able to book multiple rooms at one time unless you submit multiple registrations at one time. Additionally, IMTA will not accept call-in registrations, “TBD” names used as registrations, etc. Actual names of individuals will be needed, and you will need to either have a CC receipt in your possession or an invoice showing your registration. 

In past years, our room block has sold out within minutes. By requiring registration before providing booking details, we aim to give all participants a fair opportunity to secure accommodations at the event headquarters. 

Registration will officially open the week of March 24. Prairie Meadows will NOT be accepting reservations online or via phone. Again, you must physically register for the TDC in order to receive the next steps for getting a room at Prairie Meadows.
