This webinar will discuss a basic understanding of insider threats within an organization, what employees should be aware of in their responsibilities, and how to protect an organization’s critical assets.  Being able to identify, assess and mitigate risk from insiders can safeguard key elements that make a company a success and continue to thrive as a business.  Through discussion of an awareness of co-worker’s behaviors and level of access to critical information, this information will provide company employees with knowledge how to recognize, respond to and report a threat that a company employee may negatively affect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of the organization. 

An organization’s own personnel are an invaluable resource to observe behaviors of concern.  Though virtually every person will experience stressful events in a job, most do so without resorting to disruptive or destructive acts. For those insiders that turn to malicious activity, researchers have found that the acts are rarely spontaneous; instead, they are usually the result of a deliberate decision to act.  Security awareness for a company is an attitude, mindset, and focus of employees that regard the safety and protection of coworkers and assets.   Recognizing an insider threat and having the confidence to report the negative activity will be important responsibility of all truck industry employees and vendors.
